Information, not advice
Pawhopper summarises requirements published by government authorities. It is general information about family dogs and cats travelling with their owners. It is not veterinary, legal, immigration or customs advice, and it does not take your pet’s individual health or circumstances into account.
Rules change
Authorities can change their rules at any time, sometimes without notice. Every page shows the date we last checked the rules against the official page. Always confirm the requirements with the official authority of the country you are leaving and the one you are entering, and with your veterinarian, before you book travel or start any treatment.
No guarantee of entry
A plan from this site is not a guarantee that a pet will be allowed to travel or enter a country. Decisions are made by the authority and its officers. Deadlines we calculate come from the waiting periods the authorities publish; laboratory, appointment and courier times are not included.
Our limits
We work to keep the information accurate and complete, mark what is a short summary or unclear, and fix mistakes quickly when reported. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from decisions made using this information. Nothing here limits any right you have under law that cannot be excluded.
Links to other sites
We link to official government pages as the source of each rule. We don’t control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.
Affiliation
We are an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government, authority, airline or pet transport company.
