Taking a dog or cat out of Peru
The steps the authorities in Peru require before your pet leaves, mostly the health certificate and who has to sign or endorse it. The destination adds its own requirements on top: pick it below, or make a dated plan.

Good to know
- Some destinations' requirements must be met well in advance, and as the owner you are responsible for knowing them. Bring the destination's import permit or its official requirements when you apply.
- In Lima, SENASA issues the certificate at the Callao office near the airport (open every day, 24 hours), in Ate Vitarte and in Lurín; elsewhere at SENASA's regional offices. Questions: viajacontumascota@senasa.gob.pe.
